Shaykh Ahmed ibn ‘Umar Bazmool – may Allaah preserve him said – :
Those who say, “Such and such a scholar cannot err, and we are with him no matter what he says!” This is an incorrect statement which is in disagreement to the Sunnah, rather it opposes the correct evidences, and the consensus of the scholars which is that; the scholars can be both correct and incorrect.
