Shaykh Ahmed ibn ‘Umar Bazmool – may Allaah preserve him said – :
And his statement, “And your reciters become plenty”; meaning those who have memorized the Qu’raan without understanding its meaning or having knowledge of its rulings.
And his statement, “And your Fuqahaa become few”; meaning those who understand the Sunnah and the religion. And the meaning of this is not just to have understanding in the legislated rulings; rather it encompasses more than that.
And his statement, “And the world is sought by the deeds of the Hereafter”; meaning the worldly life will be sought after, from wealth and position, by way of the actions of the hereafter.
